All I know is the names of my grandparents, and the names of some of my great grandparents. I think some of my family on my maternal grandmother's side came from Germany because we have some family heirlooms that are from there - some plates with a mark from Bavaria, a Goebel figurine we've dated from the 30s and a Rolleiflex TLR camera we think is from the 30s too. My grandmother got these from her father when she was a little girl but her father wasn't in her life since she was around 5 or 6 and she never knew much about him. The rest of my family I pretty much have no clue about and neither do my parents.
